Kindergarten Readiness

Strengthen early reading, mathematical thinking, collaboration, and everyday independence.

Learning through this stage

Children approaching kindergarten benefit from playful chances to communicate ideas, persist with a challenge, notice quantities, and manage familiar routines. Readiness grows across many areas—not from worksheets alone.

  • Sound and letter awareness
  • Number sense and comparison
  • Planning and persistence
  • Self-help and collaboration

Try together

Playful activity ideas

Sound around us

Choose a beginning sound, such as /m/, and notice familiar words that start with it. Focus on listening and speaking rather than memorizing a list.

Build a number story

Use blocks or drawings to act out a small story: ‘Three birds were here and one more arrived.’ Invite your child to show what happens.

Plan and build

Choose a simple building challenge, such as a bridge for a toy. Talk through a plan, test it, and make one change together.
